Who We Are...

Tactical Development Group

is made up of Subject Matter Experts from the Special Operations community, Law Enforcement and Emergency Services. We provide client focused training in Weapon Handling, Close Quarter Combat, Tactical Medicine, Maritime Operations, and Defensive Tactics. Our sole focus is to make good shooters better by providing the tools needed to ensure your survivability and mission success.

Instructor Profiles:

Greg S.

Greg is a retired Chief Warrant Officer and SME on the Korean Peninsula. He began his career in the army in Counterintelligence, eventually becoming the Special Agent in Charge of US Forces Korea Counterintelligence Analysis Section, 1st Special Forces Group. With over 7 years in ODA's and service in both Iraq and Afghanistan, Greg brings both experience leadership to his work. Greg is also an avid hockey player and spends much of his free time coaching and mentoring student athletes.

 

 

Greg C.

Greg started his Law Enforcement career as a Constable and later as an officer with the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department where he provided care, custody and control for pre-trial detainees both male and female. During this time Greg served on the Sheriff's Department Emergency Response Team which responded to any and all disturbances including several maylays and riots. He was also responsible for the safety of medical and educational staff as well as other officers on a daily basis.

Greg has also served as a Federal Officer with the United States Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons where he received training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia. After being promoted to Senior Officer and joining the regional Special Operation Response Team Greg was assigned as a "Breacher" on team two. Certified in repelling, the use of chemical agents, hand cuffing, distraction devices and all current means of breaching, Greg is proficient with the HK MP5 A3, Glock 19 and 22, M16 and Colt 9mm SMG, Remington 870 and1100, L-8 gasgun and Benelli M4 shotgun. During his time at DOJ Greg also trained with the teams Tactical Operations Command and Hostage Negotiation Team and attended the United States Department of Justice Crisis Management Training. Greg has been involved in mock field training with the Department of Corrections, State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, served as a certified officer for Prisoner Transport, which included high profile an WITSEC inmates and had two attempts on his life. Currently Greg is working with several of the top firearms manufacturers through his corporation CARLSON COMPS INC manufacturing and licensing many after-market components for the AR15/M16, AKM/AK47 and various full auto subguns. Greg is a certified firearms instructor, an avid class 3 shooter, and consults with the Tactical Development Group as a subject matter expert in the field of Close Quarter Combat.

Dennis is a retired NAVSPECWAR Operator and SME is CQC. Dennis has extensive experience in planning and conducting Land and Maritime Operations as well as training forces in the use of small arms. As a member of Seal Team 2 and Seal Team 8, Dennis has spent time in service on at least 3 continents and worked with soldiers from many US allied nations. He is a gifted trainer and brings an innovative, battle tested approach to instruction. Dennis is also a certified helicopter pilot and instructor.

 

TACMEDBill Lewitt

Bill is a Critical Care Paramedic-RN and a 15 year veteran of Emergency Medical Services. Bill received his Paramedic training at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center - San Antonio and has provided services caring for the acutely ill and injured in both rural and urban settings. In 2001 Bill began teaching his Tactical First Aid curriculum at the SIGARMS Academy in Epping, NH. During his 4 years at the Academy he developed and instructed many classes, including Defensive Tactics, Knife/Counter-Knife, Weapon Retention and Disarming, Flight Crew Safety, Impact Weapons, and trained with all variants of the SIG 550 assault rifle and SIG pistols. Bill has conducted training for groups as diverse as under-cover detectives, the US Air Marshalls, Japanese Defense Forces, and most of the units from USSOCOM. In 2003 Bill was featured in SWAT Magazine and presented at the Mass Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors and Armorers Association instructor development program. Since 2006 Bill has been a featured trainer in the Journal of Special Operations Medicine. In the summer of 2010 Bill presented at the Warrior Conference in Reno, NV. He currently consults as a subject matter expert in Operational Medicine for the Tactical Development Group.

Bill received his CCEMT-P advanced Paramedic training through the University of Maryland Baltimore County, completing 450 hours of clinical training in Critical Care Transport medicine and was cleared for Independent Duty with the Northeast Mobile Critical Care Transport team. Bills training for MCCT included regular visits to the STRATUS medical simulation lab at Brigham and Womens Hospital where he learned procedures including chest tubes, surgical airways, suturing, Rapid Sequence Induction, and attended Grand Round with the Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Richard Zane. His training has included dozens of hours of physician level continuing education programs through American Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Ameican College of Surgeons, and advanced airway maintenance with Dr. Ron Walls, Chair of Emergency Medicine at Brigham and Womens Hospital. Bill is American Heart Association Training Center Faculty and an instructor in CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support and in 2009 completed his degree in Nursing.

A lifelong martial artist, Bill trains in Boston Chinatown and has twice been published in Kung Fu Qigong magazine. Bill currently lives in Boston and is pursuing his degree at Harvard University.
